Nene population monitoring is difficult as they are widely distributed and no one has kept track of public sightings… until now! We are using this information to provide an additional resource to the conservation community and better inform habitat restoration projects, predator monitoring, and trapping. Data is also being shared with local middle/high schools to improve data analysis skills!

We are looking for any and all photos of banded nene as long as you can remember when and where they were taken! We make sure to credit each contributor for their sightings on the individual nene’s page.

So far we have 3302 contributed sightings of 1655 different individuals from over 400 different people!
Mahalo in advance for your contributions!

Please share this page with your friends and family who may also have nene sightings to contribute. Mahalo!
